Workshop Overview
|
| |
- The key process areas of level 2 focus on the software project's concerns when establishing basic project management controls. It emphasizes on certain aspects along the general software process. The key process areas include Requirement Management, Software Project Planning, Software Project Tracking and oversight, software Subcontract Management, Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and software Configuration Management (SCM). Participating in each module is considered as a prerequisite for the successive one. The workshop is composed of lectures and exercises with opportunity of questions and discussions. It is intended to identify issues that should be addressed before starting software improvement program as structured by SEI-CMM.

To develop an understanding of the activities necessary to plan and implement a software process improvement program.

To develop an understanding of CMM® Level 2 KPAs. And how these KPAs relate and depend on each other.

To provide detail description of each KPA including (Commitment to Perform, Ability to Perform, Activities Performed, Measurement & Analysis, Verifying & Implementation. ) To guide the participants in defining software processes in their organizations and to identify, document and analyze process deficiencies.
