SECC organized its First Annual Ceremony under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. The ceremony was held on Monday June 24th, 2002 at the Cleopatra Ballroom of the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel.
Dr. Gamal Ali presented the achievement of SECC during last year. H.E Dr. Ahmed Nazif declared that SECC is considered as an excellence center that belongs mainly to the software companies. During his speech on the ceremony Dr. Ahmed Nazif, assured that the center will never succeed without the support of the software companies, the support that helps the center to determine the companies needs in order to enhance their maturity level to cope with the international standards. He also said that the center is still at the initial phase and has a lot to give to the software community.
H.E Dr. Ahmed Nazif handed out the certificates of attendance of the workshops and training courses to the participants. Also, the instructors of all the workshops and training received a certificate of recognition.
More than 200 chairmen and executive managers and software engineer participated in the Ceremony from 70 software companies.
