Awareness Seminar for "SPI for SMEs"
 
SECC in collaboration with the IMC (Industrial Modernisation Centre) has organized a Kickoff Awareness Seminar for starting the new project targeting the IT sector in Egypt entitled Software Process Improvement for Small and Medium Enterprises (SPI for SMEs).
The seminar has been provided by SECC, IMC and QAI (the international service provider).

Project Description
 
  • Software Process Improvement for Small and Medium Enterprises:
    • Phase I: Pilot Implementation (6 months):
      1. Pilot implementation on selected 4 beneficiary companies.
      2. Updating the Software Process Implementation Guide (SPIG), developed by SECC as a basic model of excellence in software development process to encourage the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the local market to follow standards for software development.
    • Phase 2: Full Implementation (5 months):
      1. Implementation of the revised guide on 16 beneficiary companies.
 
    The project will include:
    1. Gap Analysis
    2. Consultation Visits
    3. Delivering e-Learning Licenses
    4. Training (To be conducted several times during the whole project)
