SECC signed a cooperation agreement with the European Software Institute (ESI) to establish a Software Engineering Center of Excellence in Egypt within SECC premises referred to as “ESICenter SECC. The ESICenter SECC is to promote a more competitive ICT industry in Egypt, the Arab World (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan) referred to as “Operation Area”, by promoting proven technologies for establishing and continually improving adequate work processes and infrastructure in ICT businesses as a means of developing the Operation Area's economy.
