SECC provides ongoing consultations to software companies so as to improve their software processes, enable them to apply software engineering standards, and thus enhance their capability and maturity level. SECC also supports assessing software companies with both local and foreign assessors.
SECC's consultation approach is composed of the following activities:

- Investigate the current status of the software company in question and examine the company's capability to use software engineering standards and procedures.
- Help the company to identify the potential areas for improvement.
- Recommend potential areas of training and education to raise the skill levels of the company personnel
- Support the transition to applying a standard-based software process tailored according to the company's unique environment and business goals.

SECC has become an SEI Partner, since January 2006. This authorizes SECC to provide SCAMPI appraisal services, commercially worldwide except in USA.
SECC will be authorized in early 2007 to launch and coach SEI's Team Software Process (TSP) teams commercially, worldwide except in USA.

SECC helped Thirty-Six software companies to achieve the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) accreditation levels, from Level 2 to Level 5, the highest level in the CMMI model, from early 2005 up to the date of this publication.
