In November 2006, SECC participated for the first time in GITEX Dubai 2006 as part of its new approach to export its expertise and services to the Middle East and Africa. Since its partnership agreement with the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in the USA in January 2006, SECC has achieved outstanding success with several Egyptian software companies. SECC is currently looking forward to extend its services on a wider scale due to its capability in performing all kinds of consultations, training and assessment services pertaining to the software industry. This is in addition to other services that are uniquely provided by the center in the whole region.
GITEX exhibition was an excellent opportunity for introducing SECC to the Gulf market, especially that a large number of companies and authorities in this particular region have shown interest in cooperating with SECC.
Through participating in the Egyptian Pavilion, sponsored by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), SECC representatives were able to meet many customers to market for SECC services professionally. As a result, a number of entities expressed their interest in cooperating with SECC in obtaining specialized training courses as well as proceeding with the CMMI journey.
