About FAMECSE Conference

The Africa and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering (AMECSE) and Software Engineering in Africa (SEiA) conference have joined forces and grew into the so-called Federated Africa and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering (FAMECSE).

FAMECSE aims at
promoting and strengthening the SE community in Africa and the Middle East by gathering practitioners and researchers to present and share the most re-cent innovations, trends, experiences and concerns in the field of Software Engineering of interest to the region.

Call for Submissions and Participation

FAMECSE is a forum for practitioners and researchers to present and share the most recent innovations, trends, experiences and concerns in the field of software engineering. Artificial Intelligence plays a great role in enhancing the way Software Engineering practices are done. On the other hand, exploiting AI in practice has triggered the need for a new Software Engineering practices and techniques in order to handle the special nature of AI-based applications.

The theme of the first Federated African and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering (FAMECSE) is Software Engineering in the Era of Artificial Intelligence. FAMECSE 2022 conference aims at exploring how innovation in software engineering can support Artificial Intelligence development, and how AI can provide innovative solutions to advance Software Engineering practices and techniques. AI is more of a contextual rather than a subject-specific focus for submission.FAMECSE 2022 is organized In-Cooperation with the ACM SIGSOFT.

We solicit high quality contributions in one or more of the following three types of submissions.

  • Technical Papers limited to 10 pages describing technical research results.
  • Short Papers limited to 4 pages describing preliminary results/work-in- progress.
  • Tutorials are short lectures delivered by leaders in industry or academia to provide hands-on experience in new and emerging technologies and tools.
Submissions must be original and NOT have been previously published or currently under review else-where.
